If your studying habits are similar to mine, a great studying playlist is a must. For those late nights and somewhat boring assignments I tend to listen to more upbeat and catchy songs. There are other times where I prefer slower songs or instrumentals. I've put together a variety of my favorite studying songs into a playlist! Check it out below. Let me know how you like the songs and feel free to comment and share. (If you have a Spotify account, I have left the playlist link below!)

This month I have been enjoying quite a few beauty favorites along with some other miscellaneous items. Some of these products have been my favorites for the past few years and I have been purchasing the items off and on. I keep going back to these, I guess they are my true favorites! Hope you enjoy!!
Ah! Where did the time go? November completely flew by and I can't believe it is already December! November was such a busy month between work, college, my birthday, and Thanksgiving. I was focusing on everything that needed to be done versus what I would have liked to be done... a.k.a. my blog posts. However, I am finally back and ready to blog! I was also hoping to do some sort of vlogmas on my YouTube channel but it is already December 7th!! A little late for that I suppose. Plus my life is basically work, school, and sleeping so it wouldn't be too entertaining in the first place. I don't have anything beauty related to write about today, so I figured I could talk about my day yesterday and anything else that comes to mind. So yesterday started out differently than usual. I actually had the opportunity to sleep in for once! For my job I usually am awake between 4:15 to 6:30 a.m.. The time depends on my shifts which can begin at 5 a.m. in between 8 a.m. Normally it isn't much later than that though. Today I slept in until... wait for it... 11 a.m. That's right, ELEVEN. It was so wonderful! Of course, I woke up around 6 a.m. since I am used to it, but I fell right back to sleep. I'd like to say that I woke up refreshed but I still felt exhausted all day. After waking up, I spent a good amount of time catching up on YouTube videos that I kept adding to my "Watch Later" list the past couple of weeks. It's a love/hate relationship with that button. I am alwayyysss adding videos to the list! haha. I then showered and took my time with a full coverage makup look and a slight smokey eye, though I forgot to take a picture and it is now almost 4 a.m.... whoopsies! After glamming myself up, I worked on an Excel project for school and met up with my boyfriend so we could work on our assignments and study together. And then we went to our last session of this class! Whoo! (So excited for Christmas break). I hadn't really eaten all day so after class we grabbed a quick bite to eat from Taco Bell and headed to TJMaxx to do a bit of Christmas shopping :) Definitely one of my favorite things to do! I picked up a few gifts for my momma and one for my dad. Once I got home, I made stickers for my Erin Condren Planner! As I was practicing with my sticker machines (I got them for my birthday last month!) I was using sketch pad paper. The paper was a bit too rough for my liking though so last night I tried tracing paper. So far, so good. It's a smooth paper and I enjoy the shade of the colored pencils and Sharpies on the paper. I can get the right size for my planner since I can easily trace the vertical boxes and I had a lot of fun making them! I know they aren't the best looking nor that pretty, but I like them because I made them and had a good time doing it. It was also 4 a.m. when I originally started writing this blog post so the quality of the pics are definitely not the best but there's a slideshow below of my homemade stickers if you're interested! All three of my sticker makers are from the company Xyron. The machines are hand cranked and the adhesive works really well. I am enjoying my gifts very much! I think I am going to end the blog post here and brainstorm some ideas for seasonal posts. I hope you enjoyed this post! :) Can I just say... I love fall. The cool weather, cute pumpkins, the wonderful scented candles, and so much more. Here are a few pics from my adventure with Ray yesterday at a local farmers stand. Checking a small photo shoot off of my "Ultimate 2016 Fall Bucket List". I hope to add many more photos to this blog post with fun memories to look back on next year!
I finally received my Erin Condren LifePlanner in the mail! I have been wanting an Erin Condren planner for a few months now and I decided to purchase my personalized planner late September. The planner actually arrived the day it was supposed to ship, so imagine my surprise! So far, I am loving everything about this planner. On the Erin Condren website, there is a step by step process to creating your own perfect LifePlanner. The LifePlanner (7" x 9") includes weekly spreads, mini months, monthly spreads, and notes & quotes. I chose a vertical layout, but the company also offers a horizontal layout or an hourly layout. Coil colors offered are platinum (no extra charge), gold, rose gold, and black (each coil is an extra $10 charge). The planner is also offered in a colorful or neutral color theme. I am loving my rose gold coil and the colorful theme is so cute! LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. I chose a planner cover that is interchangeable, that way if I ever get tired of this cover (which I probably won't) I can always replace it. This cover, however, is adorable and filled with pictures of my friends, family, and places I've visited. It makes me happy every time I look at it! "Make Room for Good Things to Begin" One of the several quotes sprinkled throughout the planner! I am looking forward to using this planner and posting "Plan with Me"'s on my blog here. I'm even thinking of getting back into the groove of YouTube! Stay tuned for more planner posts and videos! ~Bethany S. On September 16th I CHOPPED OFF MY HAIR!! This is the shortest length it feels like my hair has ever been. On the way to the shop I decided that I wanted my hair short. I absolutely loved it! The feeling of the weight of my long hair being lifted from me, the happiness that my hair will be easier to maintain, and just how cute it looked! Then within the next few days, reality kicked in... I missed my hair, I missed being able to comb my fingers through all of it, I missed having a long ponytail, I thought it was ugly, and I basically regretted cutting it all off. BUT now I am definitely loving it, again! It was such a drastic change so I missed it for a few days but I love how short it is. I love how my hair naturally curls around my face and it is SO much easier to deal with. Plus I only need one ponytail holder now! And that is something to be thankful for, haha. So without further ado, here is my new hairstyle! I took this selfie right before going to a Celtic Thunder concert with my boyfriend. I loved being able to just brush through my hair and letting it fall naturally. I also had the greatest time with Ray at the concert. It was my second time seeing my favorite Irish group perform and his first time seeing them live. If you haven't heard of them, you should definitely check them out! Alrighty, that's all for this post. I hope you enjoyed my blog post and if you are thinking over changing up your hairstyle, don't be afraid to try something new! It's worth it. Plus if you don't like it, it will always grow back. :) Have a lovely day! ~Bethany Today it is a perfect rainy day. There are scattered thunderstorms throughout this rainy day and I am loving it, for once from the comfort of my home. That's right! I finally have a day off from work and I am taking my time relaxing in my comfy sweatpants and spending the day on my laptop. To make the day even more enjoyable I have one of my favorite fall candles lit. The sweet scent of "Apple and Pumpkin Picking" by Yankee Candle has filled the house and it smells just like fall!
This is also the first item I am checking off my fall bucket list! Check the post below to see what you can do this fall, too. Have a wonderful day! ~Bethany Fall is just around the corner, and if you don't know this already, it is my favorite season. This fall, I plan to check off every item and write a blog post about completing each activity from my Ultimate Fall Bucket List. Feel free to download and print your own copy with the link below. ~ Bethany
I've been so into stationery recently that I decided to expand my collection! I visited Target today and of course had to browse the dollar section (my favorite part of the store!). There were so many pens, post-it notes, flags, ribbons, washi tapes, and even more to choose from! Like stationery heaven. The prices in the dollar section range from $1 to $5, so everything is fairly inexpensive. I bought quite a few items and I am so excited to share them with you! Target sells matching sets of stationery. This is very convenient since the note pads and calendar pages I purchased are now stored in a matching binder from the dollar section. It all looks so cute! I love the cute mini floral binder and the fact that the stationery matches! The top right stationery pack has 4 packs of flag notes, 2 sticky note pads, a note pad and a sticker sheet with "email, pay, call, shop, apt, lunch time, work out, coffee break, and pay day" stickers. They are so cute and colorful. The sticker sheet also includes colorful reinforcement labels. The two note packs I bought are amazing. The first pack on the left includes 1 set of mini planner calendar pages & dividers. The mint pages with white polka dots are complimented by white and gold page dividers! The coral pack includes 1 set of mini planner note pages, time sheets, & page dividers with pockets! Both packs fit perfectly in the mini floral binder. I love the binder set and I am looking forward to using it! While out at Target I also purchased a few more stationery items. In the dollar section I found a pack of 3 gel pens ($1) which I will use in my planner and college notes. The colors are bright and cute. I also bought Sharpie limited edition markers ($4), and I love them! Decorating with cute pens and markers always motivates me to do more and get more done. I purchased an additional set of flag post its ($1), and a mini stapler ($3) for my backpack for college instead of lugging a regular stapler around. The washi tape ($1 each, Expressions tape $3) I purchased is perfect for decorating my planner and adding a bit of personal flair! These were the last of the products I bought in my haul. I had so much fun shopping for my stationery collection. I can't wait to dig into these products and create my very own planner! I hope you all enjoyed this post and try and go check the dollar section out! :) Until next time, ~Bethany~ In my last blog post, I mentioned how much I LOVE to watch stationery hauls and videos on YouTube! I thought it would be neat for you all to check out some of my favorite channels and see what you think. So here is a list of my favorite channels, especially for video binge watching ;) Nikki from ThisRobinsNest: She has great hauls and finds great crafting and stationery deals! Her favorite place (and mine!) is the Target Dollar Spot. Love watching her videos for inexpensive inspiration and ideas! :) : https://www.youtube.com/user/ThisRobinsNest Elle Fowler from Glam Planner: Elle has really great planner decorating videos. She also has her own Etsy sites where she sells themed stickers, washi tape, and pages for making your own planner! I love her "Plan with Me" videos. : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcHJu7oxeMYVd-W9LCsuOKg Alejandra from Home Organizing by Alejandra.tv: Alejandra is an expert in organization. There are 2 or 3 videos on her channel that I always revisit. Although she doesn't have hauls or "Plan with Me"'s, she has great organization videos that show off items in her collection. I always feel like shopping and reorganizing and decluttering after watching her videos! : https://www.youtube.com/user/HomeOrganizing CheapCraftyGirl: I love watching her hauls and how the items are so inexpensive and fit right in my budget range! : https://www.youtube.com/user/CheapCraftyGirl/featured |
