Each family has their own Christmas traditions. I'd like to share one of those traditions with you! The day after Thanksgiving, we don't go shopping for Black Friday. Instead, we set up our Christmas tree! We have always ordered Pizza Hut pizza, put on National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and brought down all of our decorations from the attic. We set up the dazzling lights and displays in the front yard, wrap the garland around the railing, and set up the Christmas tree. First the garland, then the lights, and then the ornaments. Opening up the box of ornaments is always wonderful. New ornaments and old ornaments, they're all so pretty. My mom has a tin full of her parent's ornaments. Over the years they have become too fragile to place on the tree, but it is always a nice treat to look over the now vintage ornaments. Next we look over our childhood ornaments and add them to the tree. Once all of the ornaments are placed on the tree, it is time to figure out who gets to put the star on! Each year we rotate who places the star on the tree, that way everyone has a chance. About every 3 to 4 years it is your turn again! Once the star is on the tree, we sort through the rest of our decorations. We clean up and put away the boxes. We then usually hang out in the living room together until we're all too tired to stay up any longer! I love this tradition. It is a really nice memory to have and to look back on! Do you have a family tradition for setting up your tree? Feel free to share a Christmas memory, and this post! Merry Christmas! ~Bethany

Whether you are looking for stuffers for your sister, mom, or girlfriend, the following items will apply! Let me know what you think of the stocking stuffers below! Do you have anything to add?
Stuffing a stocking for that special someone? Here are some stocking stuffer ideas for you! My boyfriend and I have exchanged stockings every Christmas. One of my favorite memories from Christmas mornings when I was younger was being able to open my stocking while my parents got up and moving. I really want to continue this tradition, so Ray and I have exchanged stockings every Christmas before we open gifts!
If you've been stuck on how to fill his stocking, I hope some of these ideas helped!
Aah, tis the season for dry skin! It is crucial during this season to keep up with a routine that will keep your skin soft and moisturized. I thought it would be fun to share with you my favorite hydrating products!
There are so many great holiday films you could watch this December. Here's a list of my top 18 Christmas movies. Check out this list and see if any of you're favorites are here! Am I missing one of your faves? Comment what it is down below!
One of my favorite things about winter is the number of nice hot drinks that are available. Hot chocolate, coffee, tea, cider... Hot chocolate is probably one of my favorite hot drinks, besides coffee, and it's even better on a cold December morning! This morning I enjoyed a nice cup of hot cocoa in this gorgeous mug I bought from TJMaxx last year. TJMaxx always has a great selection of Christmas mugs, treats, and home decorations. I love it and do quite a bit of shopping from there, haha. Since today is one of my days off, I was able to have an enjoyable yet productive day at home. While drinking my hot chocolate, I browsed Amazon and my social media apps. I then had a phone interview, which went extremely well, and I also took a work phone call. Now for a meeting with an advisor and then a bit of relaxing. After my meeting, I get to binge watch Vlogmas videos on YouTube and plan the rest of my week! I hope your Monday isn't too bad. Here's some good news... 21 days until Christmas! What are some of your favorite things to do during the holiday season? Usually I end up shopping, I go out to see the Garden of Lights, decorate, and do just a bit more shopping. This year I decided I wanted to make a small list of things that I wanted to do to celebrate the season!
*Drum roll please* I am about to share an amazing recipe with you all! This recipe is for cinnamon roll pancakes. It is sweet and delicious and tastes exactly like a giant cinnamon roll. So if you're ready to make a breakfast that everyone will love, then keep on scrolling
Happy Blogmas day one!!!
This is my favorite time of the year! I love the holiday festivities, the baking, the music, the cheesy movies, and more. This year I contemplated between filming for Vlogmas on my YouTube channel or writing for Blogmas here on my blog. I have always loved watching Vlogmas on YouTube! Each creator has their own fun ideas to celebrate the holiday season! I thought it would be a fun idea to add my own ideas and story sharing through Blogmas! Since I am crazy busy with work and finals, I decided that I would be able to dedicate more time to interesting and fun blog posts rather than videos! This month I will be posting holiday thoughts and stories, gift guides, stocking stuffers, delicious recipes, and more! Stay tuned for some holiday cheer! |
